Terms of Service

By accepting, ordering or purchasing products from Blueprint Costumes, you (the “Customer”) agree to the Terms of Service. Please contact us directly with any questions regarding the Terms of Service.

  • The Customer understands and acknowledges that they must be 18 years of age or older in order to enter into a business transaction with Blueprint Costumes. A legal guardian or parent may order on behalf of a minor. The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to request government-issued identification as proof of age. Services will not be rendered if proof cannot be provided upon request.

  • Blueprint Costumes will provide quotes during specified commission openings that are announced in advance. All quotes are valid for 180-days from the original quote date. Quotes may be modified by Blueprint Costumes at any time. The Customer understands that quotes provided by Blueprint Costumes will not be itemized and represents the total cost to create the quoted product(s). The Customer may only submit for one quote request during each commission opening.

    Blueprint Costumes will use quotes to select customer orders. Quotes do not guarantee a commission slot. If selected, the Customer will be notified in writing via email. Upon notification, the Customer is required to respond within three days in order to initiate an order with Blueprint Costumes. If no response is received within three days, Blueprint Costumes will move onto other potential clients.

    The Customer is expected to commit to payment upon accepting an offer. The Customer understands that inability to pay after accepting an offer will result in denial of future services from Blueprint Costumes barring extreme circumstances.

    The Customer may reuse a quote to reapply for a commission if the next opening occurs within 180-days of the original quote date. If the quote the Customer received is expired, the Customer will be required to resubmit their request during the next commission opening.

    The Customer understands that any quote requests with conflicting information, mismatched references, and/or missing references will be rejected. The Customer must adhere to the Reference guidelines outlined by Blueprint Costumes within the Terms of Service.

    The Customer understands that falsified information on a quote request will void any distributed quote(s) and result in denial of future services from Blueprint Costumes.

    The Customer understands that quotes do not include shipping costs. Shipping costs are paid by the Customer once Blueprint Costumes if prepared to deliver an order. The Customer understands that additional details regarding shipping costs are covered and reviewable within the Product Shipment section of the Terms of Service.

  • Customer-provided references are used by Blueprint Costumes to create and deliver custom products that are good faith artistic representations of those references. The Customer accepts full responsibility for ensuring reference materials are accurate and without error prior to ordering. Blueprint Costumes does not accept any responsibility for inaccuracies or errors with customer-provided references and undesirable product deliverables that may occur as a result. The following are considered acceptable reference materials:

    Flat-colored (without shading) character drawing

    • Hand Paw Orders - drawing must show the top-side and bottom-side of the hand at minimum. Any special markings should be expressly visible. Left and right paws with distinctly different patterns should be reflected on the reference. Please note that all hand paws designed by Blueprint Costumes will include four-fingers regardless of reference.

    • Feet Paw Orders - drawing must show the top-side, profile and underside (unless for outdoor feet paws) of the foot at minimum. Any special markings should be expressly visible. Left and right paws with distinctly different patterns should be reflected on the reference. Please note that all feet paws designed by Blueprint Costumes will include four-toes regardless of reference.

    • Costume, mascot and/or fursuit photographs - these may be included as supplementation. This is advised and encouraged if products are to be matched with an existing item. Photographs must be taken in a well-lit setting with white lighting.

    Reference materials must not contain any imagery that is explicit, graphic and/or questionable in nature. The Customer understands that failure to provide references that meet the aforementioned requirements will result in order rejection.

  • The Customer understands that all Blueprint Costumes product sizes and measurements are approximate and are not guaranteed to be precise. Minor variations in size and fit may be present due to the handmade nature of all products. This applies to both standard and specialized measurements. The Customer understands size and measurement specifications for all products, custom or premade, are available on the Products page of the Blueprint Costumes' website. The Customer understands it is their responsibility to read and understand the aforementioned information on the Products page of the website prior to ordering. All orders are made to standard product specifications by default.

    The Customer understands that any concerns or questions regarding size and measurement specifications should be addressed to Blueprint Costumes prior to ordering any custom or premade products. Blueprint Costumes does not accept responsibility for any issues with product fit if there is no written agreement between the Customer and Blueprint Costumes specifying any special sizing and/or measurements that are different from default product standards. Adjustments needed due to issues with product fit will be considered a non-warranty modification and service fees will apply.

  • By ordering from Blueprint Costumes, the Customer understands that all items from Blueprint Costumes are custom, handmade products created to order as artistic interpretations of customer-provided references.

    Blueprint Costumes will make a good faith attempt to create custom products to order specifications. Information regarding all products made by Blueprint Costumes is available to the Customer for review on Blueprint Costumes website. The Customer understands and acknowledges it is their responsibility to review any product-specific information prior to ordering from Blueprint Costumes. Failure to read and understand any product-specific information before or after placing an order will not be the fault of Blueprint Costumes.

    All products are created in Blueprint Costume's artistic style. Blueprint Costumes does not guarantee that any custom product will be an exact recreation of customer-provided references or any previous Blueprint Costumes products.

    All products are created using standardized templates designed by Blueprint Costumes, which contain unmodifiable features (e.g. four digits per paw). The Customer understands that customer-provided references will be translated into a product that conforms to the fundamental design structure of the aforementioned standardized templates.

    The Customer understands certain parts of the custom product can be optioned. The Customer understands they will be responsible for selecting their desired options for these parts of the product. This may include but is not limited to product size and materials.

    Blueprint Costumes will assist the Customer with the fabric and materials selection for the order. Blueprint Costumes will provide a list of recommendations and/or options to the Customer via email. The Customer understands they are permitted to (1) choose recommendations and/or options from the list provided by Blueprint Costumes or (2) request alternate recommendations and/or options if the list provided by Blueprint Costumes is not satisfactory.

    The Customer understands that exact length, texture, color and hue of a fabric or material may vary and not be precisely represented in any online images. The Customer understands it is their responsibility to order samples and swatches of fabrics and materials for comparison and review if necessary.

    The Customer understands that preselected fabrics and materials desired to be used to create a product must be disclosed to Blueprint Costumes. The aforementioned is necessary to ensure that the Customer receives an accurate quote price prior to ordering. The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes may (1) deny the use of certain fabrics and materials to create an order and (2) that preselected fabrics and materials may increase the cost of the order.

    The Customer understands that fabrics and materials previously purchased by the Customer may be used to create the order if approved by Blueprint Costumes. The Customer understands that providing purchased fabrics and materials to Blueprint Costumes will not change the cost to create the order. The Customer is responsible for any costs to mail purchased fabrics and materials to Blueprint Costumes and the cost for Blueprint Costumes to return any unused remnants.

    The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes requires written approval from the Customer via email authorizing the use of selected fabrics and materials before the order enters production. The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes may cancel the order and provide a full refund if the Customer does not select and approve fabrics and materials within a reasonable timeframe.

    The Customer understands that changes may be made to the order prior to entering production. The Customer understands that changes made to the order may result in additional costs. Changes are no longer possible once the order enters production.

    The order enters production once Blueprint Costumes begins the purchase of materials and/or uses available materials to create the product. Orders are usually completed within three to four months after all order materials are obtained and/or available. Estimated completion dates are good faith approximations and are subject to change. Additional services elected by the Customer may extend production time. While Blueprint Costumes will make all efforts to complete the order during the quoted timeframe, failure by Blueprint Costumes to complete the order during that time shall not be considered a breach of the terms of service.

    Blueprint Costumes does not accept or guarantee requested deadlines for custom orders.

  • The Customer understands that premade products are handmade items designed, created and assembled by Blueprint Costumes in their artistic style. Premade products are as-is and non-modifiable. Premade products may be purchased by the Customer online or in-person from Blueprint Costumes or an affiliated vendor. If purchased online, premade products are shipped to the customer after payment has been received from the Customer for the item and other costs including, but not limited to, shipping, taxes and transaction fees.

    Premade products are not eligible for refunds and returns will not be accepted under any circumstances. Premade products are covered under warranty.

  • The Customer understands that payment is due in full within five days of receiving an invoice from Blueprint Costumes. Invoices for custom or premade orders that are unpaid after five days will result in order rejection and future denial of services from Blueprint Costumes. Premade products with an unpaid invoice will be reposted for sale after five days .

    Acceptable forms of payment include debit, credit card or ACH bank transfers. Some restrictions may apply to international card holders. Physical checks are accepted by mail from US-based clients only in circumstances in which the aforementioned payment methods are not usable.

    The Customer understands that any and all payments must be processed using their own personal debit, credit card and/or bank account. The Customer is prohibited from using an account other than their own. Failure to comply will result in immediate order cancellation and denial of future services from Blueprint Costumes.

    Blueprint Costumes does not accept PayPal or Venmo.

  • The Customer understands that they are responsible for paying the cost of any taxes in addition to the final cost of the order. Blueprint Costumes operates in the state of Florida. A 6.5% sales tax will be added to the final cost of the order and the cost of shipping if the Customer is a Florida resident per state tax guidelines.

    If the Customer indicates residence in another state, the Customer understands Blueprint Costumes will not ship any orders or purchases to a Florida address unless proof of residence in another state is provided.

    The Customer understands any sales tax due must be paid before an order or product can be shipped.

    International orders may incur additional taxes depending on regional tax requirements.

  • The Customer understands they are responsible for tracking the status of the order using resources provided by Blueprint Costumes. This includes the Order Tracking board on the Blueprint Costumes website and Blueprint Costumes’ public Telegram channel. Blueprint Costumes will make a best-effort attempt to educate the Customer on how to access these resources. Blueprint Costumes will regularly update the aforementioned tracking resources to accurately reflect the status of the order.

  • The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes only communicates via email. Blueprint Costumes is not a full time operation with regular business hours. The Customer understands Blueprint Costumes usually takes between one to two business days to respond to messages but may take longer.

    The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes will occasionally be “out of office” and unreachable. Designated “out of office” periods will be announced on the Blueprint Costumes’ Telegram channel or Bluesky.

    Communication between the Customer and Blueprint Costumes will remain professional and business-oriented at all times. The Customer understands that any communication deemed abusive, inappropriate or demonstrative of harassment will not be tolerated. The aforementioned behavior will result in immediate order cancellation and denial of future services from Blueprint Costumes.

  • For custom products, Blueprint Costumes will notify the Customer in writing once the ordered product has been completed. Blueprint Costumes will request accurate shipping information from the Customer in order to calculate and invoice the Customer for the cost of shipping. The Customer understands that the product will not be shipped until (1) an accurate shipping address is provided to Blueprint Costumes and (2) the invoiced cost of shipping is paid in full to Blueprint Costumes by the Customer. The Customer understands Blueprint Costumes will hold the product until shipping costs are paid in full.

    The Customer understands that if they cease communication with Blueprint Costumes for any reason before all aforementioned requirements for shipment are met, then Blueprint Costumes will hold the ordered product for a maximum of six months from the last date of attempted communication. If no response is received from the Customer after six months have elapsed, Blueprint Costumes will assume forfeiture of the product and consider the product abandoned. The Customer understands and acknowledges that Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to resell the product with or without design alterations. The Customer understands products deemed abandoned will not be refunded.

    For premade products, Blueprint Costumes will request accurate shipping information from the Customer at time of sale. Shipping costs are not included in the product price. Shipping costs will be added to the final sale price of the product and invoiced together. The Customer understands that payment is due in full within five days of receiving an invoice from Blueprint Costumes. Invoices for premade orders that are unpaid after five days will result in order rejection and the product will be reposted for sale.

    The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes will not be held responsible for any delay, damage or loss of the product once shipped. Product delivery is the responsibility of the selected courier. The Customer is responsible for addressing any shipment-related issues with the courier directly.

    Blueprint Costumes will ship the product package with insurance via United Parcel Service (UPS) or a similar shipping carrier. Shipment tracking information for the package will be provided to the Customer via email. The Customer is responsible for any additional costs associated with domestic or international shipping after the package is mailed. Blueprint Costumes will not be held responsible for misdelivered packages if the Customer does not provide the correct shipping address. If the package is returned to Blueprint Costumes, the Customer is responsible for all shipping costs required to resend the product.

    Blueprint Costumes does not allow for order pickups from the business office.

  • The Customer understands that they may cancel the order at any time prior to or during production. Cancellations and refunds are no longer possible after the order is complete. If the order has not entered production at the time of cancellation, Blueprint Costumes will issue a refund to the Customer for the full amount of the order. If the order has entered production at the time of cancellation, Blueprint Costumes will issue a partial refund to the Customer for 50% of the order amount. Partial refunds are issued to cover the cost of materials and expenses invested in the order during production.

    Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to cancel the order at any time prior to or during production for any reason. A full refund will be issued if Blueprint Costumes initiates the order cancellation during this window.

    Upon cancellation, Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to continue work on any partially completed orders for resale with or without design alterations in order to recuperate profit losses.

    Blueprint Costumes does not accept returns on any products under any circumstances. Any and all services are designated as non-refundable unless a refund policy is expressly defined within the terms of service.

  • The Customer understands that all products from Blueprint Costumes, except promotions or giveaways, come with a 90-day limited warranty. The warranty period begins from the date of delivery in-person or mail (as indicated by shipment tracking information).

    The Customer understands that any issues with the product must be reported to Blueprint Costumes in writing via email during the limited warranty period. Blueprint Costumes will evaluate each warranty repair request to determine if it is eligible for warranty repair. Additional images of the reported issue may be requested by Blueprint Costumes.

    All warranty repairs will be conducted by Blueprint Costumes at no charge to the Customer. The Customer is responsible for paying shipping costs to mail the product to Blueprint Costumes for warranty repairs. Blueprint Costumes will only cover return shipping costs. The Customer is responsible for any additional costs associated with domestic or international shipping after the package is mailed.

    The Customer understands that the warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear, negligence or abuse of the product. Warranty repair requests will not be honored by Blueprint Costumes if there is evidence of normal wear-and-tear, negligence or abuse of the product. If evidence of the aforementioned is found after Blueprint Costumes has received the product, the Customer has the option of (1) requesting non-warranty repairs or (2) requesting the product to be returned in the mail. Blueprint Costumes will invoice the Customer for the cost of return shipping. The Customer understands that the product will not be shipped until (1) an accurate shipping address is provided to Blueprint Costumes and (2) the invoiced cost for return shipping is paid in full to Blueprint Costumes by the Customer.

    The Customer understands it is their responsibility to care for their product in accordance with the product care guide available on the Blueprint Costumes’ website. Failure to follow the guidelines outlined in the product care guide that results in damage to the product is not covered under warranty.

    The Customer understands that all custom products are made to order based on options selected by the Customer. Any issues with the product due to an incorrect option selected by the Customer is not covered under warranty.

    Any alterations, modifications and/or repairs made to the product by the Customer or other parties fully voids the product warranty.

  • The Customer may request non-warranty repairs or modifications to the product. Blueprint Costumes will conduct non-warranty repairs or modifications at a rate of $25 (USD) per hour with a four hour minimum. Materials cost will be charged to the customer if materials are needed to conduct the non-warranty repair or modifications. The Customer is responsible for paying shipping costs to mail the product to Blueprint Costumes for non-warranty repairs or modifications.

    Blueprint Costumes may deny non-warranty repairs or modifications if the product is heavily worn, severely damaged, requires extensive material replacement, and/or the cost of service will exceed that of a new product.

    If services are rendered, Blueprint Costumes will invoice the Customer for total cost of the non-warranty repairs or modifications and return shipping. The Customer understands that the product will not be shipped until (1) an accurate shipping address is provided to Blueprint Costumes and (2) the invoiced cost is paid in full to Blueprint Costumes by the Customer. If the Customer fails to pay the invoice for non-warranty repairs or modifications within 60 days, Blueprint Costumes will assume forfeiture of the product and consider the product abandoned. The Customer understands and acknowledges that Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to resell the product with or without design alterations in order to recuperate profit losses caused by unpaid services.

  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring the product is washed, cleaned and free of allergens prior to mailing to Blueprint Costumes for any type of complimentary or charged service. The Customer is responsible for disclosing any and all potential allergens including but not limited to household pets and cigarette smoke. Failure of the Customer to adhere to cleanliness guidelines and to disclose potential allergens to Blueprint Costumes will be considered negligence and no services will be rendered.

  • The Customer understands that materials used by Blueprint Costumes may contain trace amounts of allergens. Storage conditions between vendors do vary and materials do get exposed to the elements in transit. Blueprint Costumes uses materials from vendors as-is. Products are made of synthetic materials (e.g. polyester) and may contain dyes. Materials are not exposed to animals or pets.

  • The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes will collect imagery of any and all products in the form of photographs and/or video, and reserves the right to use the collected imagery for business promotion and advocacy across various digital or physical mediums including, but not limited to, websites, social media platforms, photograph galleries, and business documentation. Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to re-share and repost imagery of the product collected by the Customer or other parties when posted publicly on social media platforms.

  • The Customer is fully and completely responsible for conducting use of any product from Blueprint Costumes in a safe manner. The Customer assumes all risks associated with the use of any Blueprint Costumes product(s). The Customer understands that any accident, injury and/or harm incurred while using the product is not the fault, liability or responsibility of Blueprint Costumes.

  • The Customer understands that Blueprint Costumes shall not be liable or responsible for any failure or delay in fulfilling its duties and obligations due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of Blueprint Costumes, including without limitation acts of God, action by any government authority, civil unrest, earthquakes, embargoes, explosions, extreme weather, fire, flood, government order of law, industry disruptions, invasion, lockdowns, national or regional emergencies, pandemics or epidemics, power disruptions., riots, strikes, war, and/or other similar events beyond the reasonable control of Blueprint Costumes.

  • Blueprint Costumes reserves the right to deny services to any party for any reason with or without disclosure of that reason.

  • Participants in raffles or giveaways organized by Blueprint Costumes are only eligible to win if they meet all of the following criteria:

    • Participant is 18 years of age or older

    • Participant has not previously won a raffle or giveaway organized by Blueprint Costumes

    • Participant is not blacklisted from conducting business with Blueprint Costumes

    • Participant adheres exactly to the rules and guidelines of the raffle or giveaway

    Participants may use only one account to participate in a raffle or giveaway. Participants caught using multiple accounts to participate in raffles or giveaways will be disqualified from participating in any current or future raffles and will be subsequently denied future services from Blueprint Costumes.

    A raffle or giveaway winner has three (3) days to accept their winnings following an official drawing before Blueprint Costumes will move onto other selected participants.

    Blueprint Costumes will publicly announce the raffle or giveaway winner at any time following the acceptance of their winnings and their agreement to any outlined requirements.

    A raffle or giveaway winner may reject their winnings anytime prior to shipping. Blueprint Costumes will move onto other selected participants if winnings are rejected.

    A raffle or giveaway winner is responsible for covering the full cost of shipping plus any applicable taxes to mail their winnings to their location. A raffle or giveaway winner will have three (3) days to pay an invoice for the cost of shipping in full before Blueprint Costumes will move onto other selected participants.

    Acceptable forms of payment include debit, credit card or ACH bank transfers. Some restrictions may apply to international card holders. Physical checks are accepted by mail from US-based clients only in circumstances in which the aforementioned payment methods are not usable. Blueprint Costumes does not accept PayPal or Venmo.

    Once winnings are mailed to a raffle or giveaway winner, shipping costs are no longer refundable. Items won in a raffle or giveaway are not eligible for returns for any reason.

    Items that are part of raffles or giveaways are as-is, non-modifiable and are not covered by any warranty.

    Communication between a raffle or giveaway winner and Blueprint Costumes will remain professional and business-oriented at all times. Any communication deemed abusive, inappropriate or demonstrative of harassment will not be tolerated. The aforementioned behavior will result in immediate disqualification from the raffle or giveaway, future raffles and giveaways, and denial of future services from Blueprint Costumes.

    Additional sections within the terms of services that apply to raffles and giveaways includes—but is not limited to—the following:

    • Age

    • Force Majeure

    • Material Allergens

    • Non-Warranty Repairs and Modifications

    • Refusal of Service

    • Safety and Liability

    • Sanitation Requirements

    • Supersedes Previous Agreements

    • Use of Product Imagery

  • This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between the parties to this Agreement and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous negotiations and understandings between the parties whether oral or written, expressed or implied.
